Young people need to know this……
People all around the world love and yearn for a particular norm of life; that is, youthfulness. Every elderly man or woman wishes they could return to a younger time in their lives. Why? Because the early years of life are always considered the most wonderful stage, that is the time period when young people usually have the eagerness to do everything that comes to their mind. That is the period of exploration. That is the stage of being up and running. That is the time filled with success and failure.
So, in this article, I’m going to focus on youngsters and the attributes that they should have in their lives.
1. Trust in the Lord:
For as the Bible says,
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight your paths. Proverbs 3:5–6
Having faith in God is the most beautiful thing that every youngster needs to have in their life. We may raise the question, what gain do we have when we trust the Lord or when we have faith in the Lord? You’re right. What is the gain? Let me tell you, the gain is the glorious destination. I would like to quote another verse from the Bible.
As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:9
As the scripture says, the thoughts and the plans that the Lord has for us are higher than we ever imagine. So, have faith in God to have a glorious blessing.
2. Determination:
Determination plays a vital role in our lives. A determined mind can achieve anything that it desires. I can remember a story that I have studied in my 10th grade. The name of the story is “Swept away.” It is about a woman named Celine who survived after falling into a manhole. She was there for five hours in the drainage. There was no hope of surviving; she strived to survive. Celine’s determined words go like this:
No, I’ve got to be there for her (daughter), I’ve got to survive, I’ve got to fight to the very end.
Celine’s determination to live for her 12-year-old daughter gave her the willpower to survive.
The young people of this generation wish to have a successful life, but when we look at their lives, there will be no improvement. Why? because they want to have a successful life without any determination and hard work. A determined young person’s heart will cherish the life that he/she has desired. A determined heart’s desire will never go in vain.
A well-determined action will end positively.
3. Optimism:
Oh! What a beautiful word. The word optimism refers to a positive attitude. This is a very important feature that every youngster must have. This particular feature can also be said as a power, the power of overcoming. Why does this word need to be referred to as power? Because this attitude will give us strength even when we don’t have anything. Even in our failures, this attitude will give us hope to accomplish something we desire. A youngster with a positive attitude will always have the ability to accomplish his will even when there is nothing.
In the year of 2021, the male-to-female ratio of suicidal victims in India was 72.5:27.4, while in 2020 the ratio was 70.9:29.1. Suicide has become the number one cause of death in young Indians. Suicide is caused by a variety of factors, including hopelessness, despair, family problems, a sense of isolation, serious loss, relationship breakdowns, career problems, discrimination, abuse, failing grades etc.,
Why do all of these things occur? because the youngsters of this generation are not ready to face difficulties. They simply don’t have courage. When they see broken roads in their lives, they are devastated. They think there is no hope and there is no way to come out. This thought must be eradicated from young hearts. This literally pulls them down.
To overcome this, kill negativity. Sow the seeds of positivity in your hearts. At first it may be seen as a small seed, but one day it will become a giant tree to give shade to the devastated people.
